Mäss Vol. 1 is a selection of tracks by ten contemporary producers of electronic music who live across the world, from Argentina to Russia. A shared feature of their music is symbolic deconstruction and ornamentation of the club scene. The compilation is being released by Slovak label Mäss and mastering has been done by M.E.S.H. (Janus, PAN).

Mäss is a label and also a club night in Bratislava run by two producers - Adam Matej (DJ GÄP) and Jonatán Pastirčák (Isama Zing). They perceive electronic music as an important communication instrument, which doesn't intersect only through the geographically well-known club epicenters, but also through the rest of the world. Collaboration on the compilation was based on the connections made through social networks (Soundcloud, Instagram).

"It's not a matter of defining ourselves against the sound of Berlin or London, we are not a movement. We just want to share interesting underrated music that doesn't have enough exposure, because it's not coming from cultural centers."
